Absolutely satisfied! I spent a long time deciding whether to have laser treatment and visited several clinics for consultations. LASIKWELT immediately won me over with its excellent care; the entire team is friendly, professional and takes plenty of time for its patients. Nowhere else did I feel so well looked after or taken so seriously. Appointment scheduling was always excellent too. The treatment is, of course, a medical procedure rather than a wellness visit. I found the operation quite uncomfortable, but the surgical team reassured me very well. The result was astonishing straight after the procedure. After one day of rest I felt fit again—and had eagle eyes! Even now, around eight months after surgery, I am still completely delighted and can wholeheartedly recommend taking this step with LASIKWELT. A 100% recommendation!

SMILE Pro in Cologne: Minimally invasive, flapless laser eye surgery

10-year warranty for SMILE Pro enhancement treatments

SMILE Pro is the latest development of the established ReLEx SMILE procedure. At LASIKWELT in Cologne, treatment is performed with the ZEISS VISUMAX 800. No conventional corneal flap is created: the femtosecond laser forms a precisely calculated lenticule inside the cornea, which the surgeon removes through a small incision.

For suitable patients, SMILE Pro may correct myopia, hyperopia and associated astigmatism.

LASIKWELT is among the pioneers of SMILE Pro treatment for hyperopia and has gained particular experience in this still relatively new field of application.

Because SMILE Pro does not create a corneal flap and affects fewer corneal nerves than LASIK, it may offer advantages for early ocular-surface recovery in suitable eyes. Dry-eye symptoms can nevertheless still occur. Only a detailed assessment of the prescription, cornea and ocular surface can determine which procedure is medically appropriate.
